At Cailabs, we develop cutting-edge optical communication solutions. We help our clients connect the world faster, more reliably, and more sustainably. As part of our expansion, we are looking for an Installation Engineer to take part in the deployment of our communication stations on international sites.

 

Main Responsibilities:
Within the Operations Department, your mission will be to contribute to the deployment of optical ground stations in varied and stimulating environments while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

  • Planning and Preparation: Prepare the initial phase of installations by drafting technical documentation, identifying risks, and developing associated action plans.
  • Logistics: Coordinate the logistical aspects of the project (transport, customs, equipment) in collaboration with support teams and clients.
  • On-site Installation: Actively participate in the installation and supervision of systems, ensuring their compliance and proper functioning.
  • Assembly and Commissioning: Contribute to the assembly of subsystems through to commissioning and the On-Site Acceptance Test (OSAT).
  • Training: Ensure the training of clients and operators for effective use of the installed stations.
  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in the development and optimization of installation processes to enhance operational efficiency.

Essential skills

  • We are looking for a candidate with a technical background (Associate's to Master's degree) in telecommunications, industrial systems, site management, or a related technical field.
  • You have at least 3 years of experience in deploying complex technical systems, preferably in an international context.
  • You have strong project management skills, autonomy, the ability to work as part of a team, and effective communication abilities.
  • Rigorous and structured, you demonstrate adaptability and have a customer-focused mindset.
  • You are motivated by teamwork and ready to take on technical and logistical challenges.
  • Languages: Fluency in French and English is essential.
  • Frequent travel worldwide, which may last several weeks, is to be expected.
