As an R&D System Architect, you will participate in the development of new equipment within innovative technical projects, including space laser communications, optical communication systems, and advanced optoelectronic solutions.
You will be at the heart of innovation, responsible for the design and architecture of systems while coordinating the efforts of multiple multidisciplinary teams. You will also contribute to the methodological structuring of systems engineering, following INCOSE standards.
Your Responsibilities:
- Analyze system requirements based on needs expressed by product teams.
- Draft technical requirement specifications in collaboration with domain teams (primarily optics, electronics, mechanics, and software).
- Define and coordinate innovative technical solutions, ensuring their feasibility and alignment with product requirements.
- Build and propose various system architectures and lead their evaluation.
- Contribute to the system verification and validation plan, following best practices in requirement management.
- Coordinate different stakeholders and subsystems, ensuring effective communication between teams and adherence to deadlines and quality standards.
- Support product integration by gradually validating that realized subsystems meet specified requirements.
- Manage requirement traceability throughout product development.
- Support the development of a system methodology within the R&D team, in line with international standards (INCOSE).
Essential skills
- Engineering degree (Master’s level) with a specialization in systems engineering.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in system engineering within complex industrial environments (defense, aeronautics, space).
- Proven experience in multidisciplinary project management and technical team coordination.
- Skills in electronics and/or optoelectronics are a plus.
- Ability to manage and coordinate multiple technical disciplines (optics, electronics, software) while ensuring overall system coherence.
- Proficiency in SysML, an MBSE tool (Enterprise Architect, Capella), and ideally a framework (Cesam, Arcadia, etc.).
- Professional proficiency in both written and spoken English and French.
