Who are we ?

Founded in 2013, Cailabs is the global specialist in laser beam shaping, particularly through a unique and patented technology (MPLC), originating from scientific laboratories. The company designs, manufactures, and develops innovative photonic solutions for the aerospace, industrial (laser machining), telecommunications, and defense sectors.

In this team, your main responsibilities are:

  • Lead the development of new optical systems & subsystems,
  • Design, develop, and test optical instruments,
  • Propose new system architectures according to client needs,
  • Integrate and interface various optical subsystems,
  • Drive the improvement of existing product performances.

Essential skills

Key points : 

  • You have prior experience in the development of optical technologies (internship, academic research/thesis included, industry). 
  • You have received training in optics and possess practical expertise in this field. You are comfortable with the design, assembly, and alignment of optical experiments in free space, as well as with the automated acquisition and processing of data using a programming language.
  • You are autonomous, capable of identifying problems and finding solutions, sometimes under time constraints.
  • You can effectively communicate and coordinate with individuals from other fields (mechanics, electronics). You are able to discuss your technical projects in everyday English with your team, both in writing and orally.
