Since 2020, Cailabs has experienced accelerated growth in the field of optical ground stations, enabling communication between satellites and Earth using lasers, and has now a central position in this market. Currently, one major area of activity for Cailabs is its optical ground stations TILBA-OGS, which incorporate Cailabs' technological core (MPLC) to facilitate ultra-high-speed communications despite atmospheric conditions.

Join Cailabs! 

As part of our international expansion, we are looking for an International Volunteer in Business (VIE) with a technical-sales profile to help us develop our CANUNDA and AROONA product ranges in the American market. 

As a VIE, based in Washington DC and working closely with the France teams (sales and product), your main missions will be: 

1/ Prospecting

  • Identify sales opportunities for our CANUNDA range in the following markets: Metal Laser Power Bed Fusion (LPBF), high-power welding, and Display, and for AROONA with certain privileged contacts (North American market).
  •  Participate in marketing and commercial events promoting CANUNDA and AROONA products, with particular attention to one or more priority markets. 

2/ Commercial proposals

  • Understand the needs of your prospects and clients as well as the challenges of their projects (possibility of product customization).
  • Develop your commercial proposals with the support of the French teams.
  • Develop relevant technical support documents with PLM support.

And also:

  • Report on ongoing business, sales forecasts, and the strategy to be implemented to the Commercial Direction.
  • Feed and keep the CRM up to date.
  • Ensure interface with the French teams.
    • Ensure coordination and communication with our headquarters in France.
    •  Facilitate exchanges between the teams in France and the local team.
    •  Participate in meetings and report on activities carried out. 

Essential skills

Graduate of an engineering school or equivalent, with a first experience in a Technical Sales  role. 

Are your also recognised for your :  

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to understand the technical specifications of products and present them in a clear and convincing manner.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong sales temperament with a "hunter" profile.
  • Your listening skills and analytical ability allow you to adapt your speech to your interlocutor and propose tailored solutions.
  • Proficient in professional English and French. The VIE position is based in Washington DC.

An integration period at our headquarters in Rennes, France, will be organized.
