Job description

Founded in 2013, Cailabs designs, manufactures, and develops innovative photonic solutions for the space, industry, telecommunications, and defense sectors. Under the supervision of the workshop manager, you will take part in many stages of product assembly and make an active contribution to R&D projects in conjunction with the optical engineers.


Your main tasks will be to :

 

  • Assemble and align innovative optical systems,
  • Carry out system performance tests,
  • Record the performance of systems/sub-systems and ensure their reliability,
  • Resolve technical bottlenecks,
  • Participate in drafting and updating procedures,
  • Helping to define qualification processes for R&D projects (product robustness, in-chamber measurements, determining performance limits, etc.).

About Cailabs

You have a 2/3-year higher education qualification in photonic systems or equivalent,

You are meticulous, rigorous and organised (the job requires good dexterity),

You have a good command of IT tools,

You are autonomous and able to make suggestions,

Your interpersonal skills are an asset when it comes to working as part of a team with both the Operations and R&D Technical teams.


Plus points:

  • You will have experience of aligning and testing optical components,
  • You have knowledge of UV bonding and micro-positioning of optics in free space,
  • You are able to adapt to a changing environment,
  • You have knowledge of electronics (soldering and ESD awareness).


Key points: 

  • You have a 2/3-year higher education qualification with a major in optics,
  • You are meticulous, rigorous and organised (the job requires good dexterity),
  • You're a self-starter, a self-starter, curious and dynamic,
  • Your interpersonal skills are an asset when it comes to working as part of a team, both with the operations teams and the technical R&D teams.
