A global specialist in laser shaping, the company has accelerated its growth in the space field with turnkey optical ground stations that integrate atmospheric turbulence compensation technology. As part of the growth of our business activities, Cailabs designs, deploys, and maintains complex optical communication systems worldwide for the space, defense, and telecommunications sectors. Optical Ground Stations (OGS), which contribute to the development of next-generation space communications, are a key pillar of this ambition, alongside other advanced optical communication solutions developed by the company.

 

To support this scale-up, we are looking for our future Head of Deployment & Services.

 

Reporting to the Operations Director, you will take ownership of a strategic challenge for the company: building an organization capable of deploying, supporting, and ensuring the availability of our systems on an international scale. At the crossroads of business growth, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction, you will define the organization, service portfolio, operating model, and processes required to sustainably support the scaling of our activities.

 

In this role, you will play a key part in four major areas :

Build and structure the Deployment & Services organization

  • Define the vision, organization, processes, and tools required to support the growth of deployment and service activities.
  • Evolve the organization and its capabilities with a long-term perspective, anticipating future needs driven by Cailabs’ growth while maintaining a level of structure appropriate to the company’s development stage.
  • Develop teams, strengthen competencies, and establish a high-performing organization capable of supporting Cailabs’ international expansion.

Develop high-value service activities :

  • Design the processes, methods, and tools required to industrialize our service and deployment operations.
  • Contribute to the development of service offerings related to maintenance and operational support, customer support, and system lifecycle services, working closely with Product and Sales teams to define service levels and standards of excellence.

Ensure the successful delivery and scaling of international deployments :

  • Ensure execution quality, customer satisfaction, and compliance with cost, quality, and schedule commitments across all international projects.
  • Monitor and improve the overall performance of deployment activities, ensuring customer commitments are met, intervention quality remains high, and operational processes are continuously improved.

Profile required

  • You hold an Engineering degree and have significant experience leading deployment, service, or operational support and maintenance activities within demanding industrial and technological environments with an international scope.
  • You have demonstrated your ability to structure organizations, support growth, and implement the processes, tools, and KPIs required to achieve operational excellence.
  • As a recognized leader, you know how to unite and develop multidisciplinary teams while managing activities with significant technical and operational challenges.
  • With strong strategic vision, natural leadership, and excellent collaboration skills, you thrive in fast-evolving environments and are fluent in professional English, both written and spoken.
