Who are we ?

Founded in 2013, Cailabs is the global specialist in laser beam shaping, particularly through a unique and patented technology (MPLC), originating from scientific laboratories. The company designs, manufactures, and develops innovative photonic solutions for the aerospace, industrial (laser machining), telecommunications, and defense sectors.
Since 2020, Cailabs has experienced accelerated growth in the field of optical ground stations, enabling communication between satellites and Earth using lasers, and has now a central position in this market. Job description

Are you looking to apply your electronics skills in areas such as laser shaping for space communications or industrial machining processes?

As part of the electronics department, you will work in an R&D environment where you will design and test electronic systems.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Analyzing specifications, conducting technical feasibility studies, and proposing suitable technical solutions.
  • Defining electronic architecture (hardware).

  • Developing complex electronic boards (detailed design, selection of electronic components, schematic, placement and routing, justification, validation...) or determining if it should be outsourced.

  • Conducting or outsourcing board routing.

  • Managing subcontracting for manufacturing.

  • Conducting or outsourcing validation testing campaigns for embedded electronic boards.

  • Writing technical documentation (specifications, design and justification documents, technical reports, test reports...).

  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of our solutions.

  • Conducting technical and technological watch to provide innovative solutions and maintain a high level of technical expertise in our products.

Essential skills

You hold a Master's degree (BAC+5) in electronic engineering and have significant industrial experience of at least 5 years, ideally in regulated, constrained, and demanding environments (aerospace, defense, space, energy, medical...).

You have developed electronic systems (mixing analog and digital) in a multidisciplinary team (mechanics, system architecture, testing, etc.).

You are familiar with constraints related to EMC, thermal, and assembly.

You have good writing skills and master design and simulation tools, and ideally embedded programming languages.

Passionate about technology, you are rigorous, autonomous, and proactive.

Dynamic, your interpersonal skills are a major asset in your teamwork.

Additional skills:

  • You have knowledge in the field of telecommunications and/or photonics.
  • You have knowledge in low-voltage electrical engineering.

  • You have knowledge in FPGA.
