Job description

As a Technical Product Manager, you play a central role in implementing the development strategy for Cailabs' Space Optical Communication Products and expanding its presence in the market.

Directly reporting to the Director of Products and Partnerships, your responsibilities include: 

  • Implementing the technical product roadmap 
  • Translating the roadmap into specific requirements and ensuring its monitoring (objectives, means, schedule, results) to meet strategic goals 
  • Maintaining continuous technical awareness of technological advancements and intellectual property issues in the space communication sector 
  • Representing Cailabs as technical “ambassador” at conferences, networks, and working groups actively attended by Cailabs 
  • Providing technical support and in-depth expertise to the sales teams during pre-sales phases to meet the specific needs of key clients 
  • Participating in standardization committees such as CCSDS and SDA 
  • Conducting technical product demonstrations and contributing to establishing and strengthening partnerships 

Essential skills

  • An engineering degree in optics/photonics with a solid expertise in the field, preferably acquired in the industry and in international environments 
  • Skills in innovation management or project management interfacing with external partners or clients are a significant asset 
  • Strong oral communication skills and ability to communicate clearly and effectively on technical subjects to diverse audiences  
  • Fluency in English is essential for this position. Frequent international travel is to be expected.
