As a System Architecture Manager, within the Technical Department, you will ensure the proper implementation and consistency of our system architectures. You will contribute to the development of new equipment as part of innovative technical projects, such as optical communication systems, optical modules for laser machining, and advanced optoelectronic solutions.

You will be at the heart of innovation, responsible for the design and architecture of systems while managing a team of 4 architects.

You will also contribute to structuring system engineering methodologies in line with INCOSE standards.

 

Your responsibilities:

  • Manage, mentor, and develop a team of system architects.
  • Foster collaboration among team members and across departments.
  • Analyze product needs and requirements in partnership with cross-functional teams.
  • Oversee the design of system architectures, ensuring feasibility and alignment with product goals.
  • Ensure the traceability and integration of requirements throughout the development cycle.
  • Share best practices in system engineering and promote their adoption within Cailabs.
  • Drive and support the development of system methodologies within the R&D team, aligned with international standards (INCOSE).

Essential skills

  • Graduate of an engineering school (Master's level) with a specialization in system engineering.
  • Proven expertise in system engineering within complex industrial environments (defense, aerospace, space), including team management.
  • Proficiency in SysML, MBSE tools (e.g., Enterprise Architect, Capella), and ideally a framework (e.g., Cesam, Arcadia).
  • Strong skills in managing multidisciplinary technical projects.
  • Expertise in optics, electronics, or optoelectronics is a plus.
  • Analytical mindset, rigor, and the ability to propose solutions in complex environments.
  • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to unite and motivate a team around a shared project.
  • Curiosity for new technologies and an innovative mindset.
  • Comfortable in uncertain and complex environments.
  • Professional proficiency in English and French, both written and spoken.
