Internship description

The internship involves participating in the development of calibration algorithms for optical systems in ground-optical stations produced by Cailabs.

 

Under the supervision of your internship supervisor, you will:

 

  • Characterise existing algorithms
    Propose, develop and test improvements aimed at making these algorithms more robust and efficient.

 

This work will be carried out in collaboration with the research & development, software development, and verification & validation teams. 

 

Profile required

Second- or third-year engineering student specialising in optics or servo control systems

 

Key points:

  • Good knowledge of programming (Python) and software development basics, 
  • Good knowledge of geometric optics,
  • Solid knowledge of signal processing (frequency analysis, noisy signal management, image processing). 

 

Bonus points:

  • Experience in servo system programming, e.g. robotics,
  • Knowledge of control methods,
  • Curiosity and interest in studying and modelling complex real-world systems,
  • Experience in asynchronous and object-oriented programming.
