To support our growth and maintain the high standards of our activities, we are looking for our future Compliance Manager.
You will be responsible for the company’s compliance policy, ensuring adherence to French and international regulations in a dynamic environment of growth and development.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the compliance of Cailabs group entities with national and international regulations, particularly U.S. regulations
- Monitor regulatory and normative developments related to our activities (export control, ITAR, EAR, dual-use goods, etc.)
- Contribute to structuring and strengthening export control management practices within the company in a context of international activities and sensitive technologies
- Participate in defining, implementing, and updating internal compliance policies (code of ethics, anti-corruption policies, risk mapping, etc.)
- Work closely with operational teams to ensure compliance with technical regulations specific to our products
- Oversee export compliance (export control, customs, sensitive technologies, country restrictions) and work closely with the sales administration and logistics teams responsible for operational deployment
- Act as the key point of contact for external authorities and regulatory bodies (CNIL, DGA, export control authorities, etc.)
- Provide training and awareness sessions for teams on compliance best practices
- Identify internal issues and propose appropriate solutions, adopting a partnership approach with operational teams
- Maintain strong and regular relationships with regulatory authorities and external stakeholders involved in compliance and export control matters
You will also act as Security Officer (representing approximately 20% of your responsibilities; physical and building security are not part of the role):
- Draft and maintain internal procedures related to security and the management of sensitive information
- Manage the associated administrative and documentation processes
Profile required
- Master’s degree (Bac+5) from a business school or engineering school with a specialization in compliance
- At least 5 years of proven experience in an international compliance role, ideally within an industrial sector subject to significant regulatory constraints such as defense or aerospace
- You have solid experience with export control issues in an international environment, including the management of regulations applicable to sensitive technologies and dual-use goods. Knowledge of ITAR / EAR regulations would be appreciated.
- Experience or a good understanding of customs-related issues linked to export activities would be a strong asset in supporting the structuring and strengthening of internal practices.
- Your rigor, organizational skills, and discretion enable you to manage complex matters autonomously.
- You demonstrate a strong ability to identify issues and propose relevant solutions as part of a continuous improvement approach.
- You are capable of leading regulatory expertise topics and quickly adapting to complex regulatory environments.
- You have excellent writing skills and strong pedagogical abilities to effectively raise awareness of compliance culture within teams.
- Fluent English, both written and spoken, is essential for this position.
The position may be based in Rennes or Paris, with regular travel to Rennes.
