Post description

As part of a newly created position, the Junior Buyer will manage a purchasing scope for highly innovative products, either in the development phase or in mass production.

Coordinate the purchasing strategy for their scope:

  • Inform internal stakeholders about market developments, particularly innovative solutions offered by suppliers (purchasing intelligence).
  • Identify and assess potential suppliers.
  • Work closely on a daily basis with internal teams, especially technical teams, to understand needs and guide them toward relevant technologies and suppliers.
  • Implement purchasing strategies.
  • Manage tender processes.
  • Carry out the “Sourcing to Contract” process, from supplier consultation to potential contract finalization (the Buyer may occasionally place orders for strategic or critical products).

Manage supplier relationships within their scope:

  • Support the monitoring and management of ongoing supplier contracts.
  • Act as the key point of contact for commercial relationships with suppliers.
  • Monitor supplier performance and contribute to their continuous evaluation (supporting procurement, quality, and logistics teams in handling disputes, non-conformities, and key performance indicators).

Manage the supplier panel within their scope:

  • Identify and manage purchasing risks.
  • Rationalize the supplier base.

Continuous improvement:

  • Help maintain up-to-date purchasing data in the ERP system, in coordination with procurement, accounting, and methods teams.
  • Support technical teams in defining purchasing technical specifications.
  • Raise awareness among internal teams about best practices and purchasing-related challenges.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement projects.
