As part of our continued growth, we are creating a new Editorial Strategy Manager position within our Marketing and Product team.
Reporting to the Chief Product Officer & Deputy CEO, your mission will be to translate Cailabs’ strategic priorities into a clear, distinctive, and actionable editorial strategy. You will define the key messages to convey, identify the most relevant angles and formats, and coordinate the contributions required to bring each topic from concept through to publication.
At the intersection of strategy and execution, you will play a central role in how Cailabs showcases and makes its product expertise and achievements accessible to its audiences.
Operating in a technical, industrial, and deeptech B2B environment, particularly across the space and defense markets, you will ensure that Cailabs delivers consistent, credible, and compelling communications tailored to international audiences.
Your main responsabilities :
Define and drive the editorial strategy :
You will translate the strategic priorities and key messaging defined by the leadership team into concrete themes, angles, and communication sequences.
- Define priority messages based on target audiences and communication channels.
- Build a consistent editorial calendar around announcements, events, customer proof points, product developments, and market topics.
- Determine which topics should be prioritized, postponed, or not addressed.
- Ensure that every communication contributes to Cailabs’ overall positioning.
Turn complex topics into distinctive content :
You will provide strong editorial direction for key content and transform technical, product, and market information into clear and engaging communications.
- Define editorial angles and recommend the most appropriate formats: articles, web pages, customer case studies, videos, carousels, social media campaigns, executive thought leadership, press releases, or event materials.
- Develop clear, actionable briefs that enable internal teams and external partners to work autonomously.
- Turn an announcement or technical subject into a consistent, multi-channel content sequence.
- Challenge and, when necessary, directly rework an angle, structure, or piece of content to strengthen its clarity and impact.
Ensure editorial consistency in France and internationally :
You will be responsible for ensuring consistent messaging across all touchpoints: website, blog, social media, public relations, events, executive communications, marketing materials, and product content.
- Maintain and continuously develop editorial principles, key messaging, and quality standards.
- Ensure consistency across channels and prevent content from being treated as a series of isolated initiatives.
- Maintain a consistent international editorial identity while allowing for adaptations to the expectations and communication codes of target markets, particularly the United States.
Engage and coordinate stakeholders :
You will work closely with Product, Technical, Sales, and Executive teams to identify key messages and gather the insights and information needed to bring them to life.
- Coordinate contributions from internal experts and structure their input.
- Brief and manage PR agencies, consultants, writers, and other external partners.
- Provide clear direction to teams involved in digital, audiovisual, and event content creation.
- Clarify responsibilities, approval processes, and expected decisions for each topic.
- Escalate strategic, sensitive, or high-impact decisions to the leadership team when required.
Continuously improve editorial operations :
Beyond content production, you will help build a smooth, consistent, and effective editorial operating model.
- Implement processes that make it easier to move from idea to publication.
- Draw insights from published campaigns and content to continuously improve future communications.
- Identify missing proof points, content, or formats and recommend actions to develop them.
Profile required
- You have 7 to 10 years of experience in editorial communications, content marketing, product marketing, or brand communications.
- You have worked in atechnical, industrial, or deeptech B2B environmentand know how to make complex topics accessible without losing their substance.
- You have proven experience developing editorial angles, narratives, and content strategies, and know how to translate strategic direction into concrete, consistent communications tailored to different channels.
- You are comfortable working across a wide range of formats : websites, articles, customer case studies, social media content, videos, executive communications, press briefs, and event materials, and know how to select the most relevant format based on the topic, audience, and objective.
- You have full professional proficiency in English and are able to write or oversee content intended for international markets. Experience communicating with international audiences would be a strong asset.
- You are recognized for your excellent structuring, synthesis, and writing skills, as well as your ability to adapt your communication style to a wide range of stakeholders, including decision-makers, technical experts, customers, partners, journalists, and institutional stakeholders.
