As part of the Technical Department, you will take part in the development of subsystems for our optical ground stations, from prototype design to industrialization.

 

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Contribute to the development and industrialization of advanced optical systems.
  • Assemble, set up, and characterize prototypes developed by Cailabs.
  • Assemble, set up, and characterize test benches used to qualify products manufactured by Cailabs.
  • Experimentally qualify commercial components.
  • Analyze data and write technical reports.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of methods and tools used in the laboratories.
  • Participate in the testing campaigns of optical ground stations manufactured by Cailabs.

You will have various internal interactions and will work in collaboration with the Product Development Team, the Methods Team, and the Systems Unit.

Essential skills

  • As an engineer specialized in optics/photonics, you have initial experience in experimentation and/or characterization (including internships).
  • You have a preference for experimental work, autonomy, and scientific rigor.
    Experience in a laboratory setting and skills in handling optical equipment (lasers, optical fibers, etc.).
  • Ability to analyze data and solve complex problems.
  • Programming skills, ideally in Python.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
