In a context of growing industrial activity and to strengthen the management of production non-conformities, we are recruiting a Production Quality Engineer / Lead.
Reporting to the Head of Quality and Continuous Improvement, you will work directly within the workshops and play a key role in structuring and driving the production quality approach.
Your main role will be to structure and improve the handling of non-conformities in the workshops by implementing clear processes for detection, analysis, and problem resolution, while maintaining close collaboration with production and engineering teams.
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Play a key role in deploying our quality approach, with a strong focus on responsiveness in handling production non-quality issues.
- Handle non-conformities directly on the shop floor
- Perform root cause analysis
- Create and ensure the implementation of corrective actions
- Ensure compliance of manufactured products
- Ensure the release of compliant products as required and provide backup for incoming inspection
- Lead quality, operational, and system improvement initiatives, in direct collaboration with operational teams
- Deploy and continuously improve the quality management system, based on audits and field feedback
- Monitor KPIs and propose improvement actions
- Structure and maintain quality documentation (processes, procedures, standards), ensuring it remains clear, practical, and useful for users
The position is highly field-oriented, with daily work in the workshops, in direct collaboration with technicians, product engineers, and methods teams.
Profile required
With a technical background and solid experience in quality, or holding a Master’s degree (or equivalent, Bac+5) in quality, industrial engineering, or a related field:
- You have initial or significant experience in production quality or in an industrial environment;
- You are comfortable handling non-conformities and analyzing complex problems;
- You are familiar with root cause analysis methods (5 Why, Ishikawa, 5M, 8D);
- You have strong technical versatility and can interact across multiple domains (mechanical, electronic, software, or systems);
- You enjoy hands-on, field work and have a strong collaborative mindset, with the ability to build connections between operational teams
- You are able to structure information, formalize processes, and follow up on corrective actions;
- You demonstrate autonomy, a strong sense of priorities, and analytical skills;
- You are known for your rigor, synthesis skills, and pragmatic approach.
Nice to have:
- Experience in a high-tech production/manufacturing environment;
- Knowledge of quality tools and continuous improvement methods;
- Experience in managing non-conformities and structuring quality processes;
- Experience in a multidisciplinary environment (mechanical, electronic, software, optics).
