As part of the construction of our industrial site in Rennes dedicated to Optical Ground Station (OGS) production, we are looking for an Industrial Site Manager to lead this manufacturing activity.

Reporting to the Operations Department, you will be responsible for overseeing and driving the performance of the industrial site.

Your main mission is to ensure reliable, efficient, and optimized production in a context of strong growth.

In this role, you will be involved upstream to prepare for the site takeover and support its ramp-up, before overseeing its delivery scheduled for mid-2027.

 

Your main responsibilities will include :

Industrial Management :

  • Oversee the manufacturing of Cailabs products based on production schedules defined by the planning team and supply provided by the supply chain,
  • Ensure continuity and reliability of production for existing products,
  • Design, structure, and optimize industrial flows and processes required for the large-scale production of OGS.

Team Management :

  • Lead, support, and develop workshop managers and technicians,
  • Identify resource needs, recruit teams, define roles and responsibilities, and adapt the organization in line with ramp-up and performance objectives,
  • Foster a strong industrial culture and align teams around a clear project vision and company values.

Cross-functional Coordination :

  • Work closely with Methods, Supply Chain, Quality, Installation, and Human Resources teams,

  • Act as the interface between operational teams and support functions.

Site Operations & Maintenance :

  • Oversee incoming inspection of raw materials,

  • Manage building and industrial equipment maintenance activities,

  • Define and structure maintenance processes (procedures, tracking, data management),

  • Oversee equipment fleet and associated technical operations,

  • Ensure compliance with site safety regulations (people, equipment, and access security),

  • Contribute to site monitoring systems, with occasional on-call involvement in case of alerts.

Industrial Performance :

  • Promote a strong safety culture and continuous improvement in collaboration with the safety lead,

  • Contribute to industrial transformation and operational optimization projects,

  • Define performance indicators and monitor operational performance.

Profile required

The technical and soft skills expected for this role include :

 

  • You hold an engineering degree with a specialization in industrial engineering, production, or industrial systems,
  • You have at least 10 years of experience in an industrial environment, with significant experience in production management or site management,
  • You have strong skills in team management and industrial operations leadership,
  • You have experience in structuring or scaling industrial operations,
  • You demonstrate a strong industrial mindset and a continuous improvement culture,
  • You are able to structure an organization and support growth phases,
  • You are professionally fluent in English, both written and spoken,
  • You are recognized for your leadership, intellectual agility, rigor, strong team spirit, and diplomacy, as well as your ability to solve complex problems.
