As a Technical Project Manager - Satellite Optical Communication, you will be responsible for managing and executing complex and innovative Earth-Satellite optical communication projects (for the ground segment), across all project lifecycle phases.

 

You will interact with a multidisciplinary team of engineers to ensure project success, while maintaining effective communication with partners/clients and stakeholders.

 

In this role, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Planning, coordinating, and supervising the project execution in accordance with technical specifications, as well as timelines and budget.
  • Distributing roles and responsibilities within the project team, considering the skills and resources available.
  • Supervising field operations while ensuring compliance with project requirements.
  • Leading and supporting demonstrations for clients/partners.

Essential skills

  • With an engineering background, you have a successful first experience in managing technical projects within innovative R&D and/or industrial environments, in sectors such as space, aeronautics, defense, or telecommunications.
  • Ideally, you have gained skills in the operation of complex systems or hardware equipment, including free-space optics or optoelectronics.
  • You are recognized for your dynamism, your ability to unite and coordinate teams, and your effective project management.
  • You have a passion for innovation, technical challenges, and solving complex technical problems.
  • Interpersonal skills and competencies in both oral and written communication, with a variety of interlocutors (internal, partners, clients) in both English and French, are essential for this position.

This position involves testing under conditions that may sometimes occur outside of regular working hours, as well as frequent national and international travel.
