This position lies at the heart of the reliability and transfer of a breakthrough industrial technology dedicated to the installation of laser-based communication systems.
As a Technical Writer, your role goes far beyond writing.
You are the person who makes tangible and understandable what technical teams design and deploy in the field.
Each document you produce guides the installation, maintenance, training, and operation of complex systems, becoming an essential tool to ensure that the technology functions properly, is used correctly, and can be deployed worldwide.
You transform technical information that may be fragmented or highly specialized into clear, precise, and structured content, enabling all stakeholders (engineers, technicians, trainers, and customers) to understand and act efficiently.
Your work ensures that cutting-edge systems do not remain abstract ideas, but become operational and accessible, with rigor, precision, and impact.
Your responsibilities
Technical writing and documentation production
• Write and maintain technical documentation
• Installation documentation
• Maintenance and replacement documentation
• User manuals and training materials
• Review, structure, and professionalize existing technical content produced by engineers
Information gathering and analysis
• Collect information from various subsystems and internal stakeholders
• Understand, cross-check, and challenge technical information, including in cases of incomplete or contradictory data
• Capture field feedback and relay it to the relevant teams
Organization and standardization
• Harmonize, organize, and classify all technical documentation
• Define and continuously improve documentation standards and reporting formats
• Manage document versioning and system-specific deviations
Communication and collaboration
• Work in both French and English, written and spoken, with technical teams, trainers, and internal stakeholders
Profile required
Technical skills and experience
• Master’s degree (engineering or equivalent) or a 2–3 year technical degree with significant experience in a complex technical or industrial environment
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in technical writing or an equivalent role in an industrial setting
• Strong background in complex systems (optics, electronics, automation, robotics, mechatronics, or multi-technology environments)
• Comfortable with document management, version control, and structuring technical content
• Excellent professional proficiency in both French and English
