As a Product Development Engineer, your role will be to lead the development and maturation of our optical and optronic systems and subsystems based on proof of concepts and prototypes designed by the R&D team.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Participating in the design and industrialization of optical and optronic components for our optical ground stations, intended for mass production.
- Collaborating with the method team to create production documents and procedures for assembling, testing, and validating the developed components.
- Designing and validating the necessary test benches for product qualification in the industrial phase.
- Managing the improvement of existing products (performance, reliability, cost), providing technical support to production and installation teams.
- Researching and qualifying suppliers or partners.
- Participating in problem-solving groups by providing your expertise.
You will be in constant contact with various development and production stakeholders (R&D engineers, system architects, mechanical designers, electronic and software developers, method engineers) to gather, analyze, and share the necessary information for your work. You will conduct ongoing technological monitoring and be proactive in anticipating new practices.
Essential skills
With a background of engineer school, you have acquired skills in optics or optronics.
You have a significant experience of at least 3 years within a technical department in an industrial environment, where you have contributed to the maturation of a product/component.
