As part of the 2-person Supply Chain Department, and in order to support the company's growth, your main mission will be to manage purchasing for products in the development or production phase. You will contribute to the company's purchasing strategy, from identifying suppliers to supervising procurement. 

 

Your main responsibilities will include:  

 

Purchase:

  • Carry out supplier consultations, analyze bids and select suitable partners in conjunction with in-house teams,  
  • Establish and maintain close contact with our supplier partners,
  • Maintain a constant watch on suppliers and new market trends,  
  • Liaise with technical teams to understand product specifics and requirements, and make suggestions,
  • Contribute to team dynamics and provide support to your binomial sales administration and procurement manager. 

 

Purchasing methods: 

  • Keep the ERP up to date with purchasing and product information, in liaison with the accounting department,
  • Support technical teams in drawing up specifications, 
  • Anticipate supply needs and implement action plans to ensure continuity of supply and optimize stocks, in liaison with the Logistics Manager, 
  • Raise awareness of purchasing best practices and issues among in-house teams, 
  • Define, maintain and implement efficient processes to optimize purchasing operations, integrating a CSR approach.

Essential skills

With a degree in Purchasing, Logistics or Supply Chain, you have significant experience as an Industrial Buyer, ideally in an innovative industrial environment. 

 

  • You are rigorous and have a good command of IT tools such as ERP, 
  • You have excellent negotiation and communication skills,
  • You have a strong appetite for innovation, and are inquisitive, 
  • You are able to make proposals,  
  • You are adaptable and flexible, and can handle multi-skilled tasks ranging from purchasing to supply supervision.  
  • Fluency in English is essential for this position.  

 

Key points:  

  • A technical background in optics, electronics or automation would be a plus.
