As part of our free-space laser communication projects, and directly reporting to the Software Department Manager, we are seeking an Industrial IT Engineer whose primary mission will be to design, develop, and maintain test benches dedicated to the optronic systems used in free-space communication.

 

As an Industrial IT Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and optimizing test benches to validate our systems. Your missions will include:

  • Creating software solutions, integrating electronic and optical components, and managing equipment via standard industrial protocols.
  • Testing and debugging developed software to ensure its quality and reliability.
  • Maintaining and supporting software once in production.
  • Participating in the writing of technical documentation.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams (optics, electronics, mechanics) to adapt test benches to the needs of the systems.
  • Contributing to the improvement of methods and tools related to software and electronic activities.

The position involves working in a laboratory and test environment. Occasional travel may be required for the installation of test benches at our clients' or industrial partners' sites.

Essential skills

  • With a Master's degree in industrial IT, software engineering, embedded systems, or electronics, you have a specialization in communication, optronics, or industrial automation.
  • You are proficient in object-oriented software development (Python or C++), and have practical experience in designing and using industrial middleware.
  • You possess knowledge of industrial communication buses and protocols (EtherCAT, Modbus, OPC, etc.), as well as signal processing and optronic technologies.
