Founded in 2013, Cailabs is the number one global specialist in laser shaping, tied to a unique, patented technology: Multi Plane Light Conversion (MPLC).

At Cailabs we design, manufacture and develop innovative photonic solutions for satellite communications, industrial applications (laser machining), fiber optic telecommunications and defense.

Since 2020, Cailabs has seen its growth accelerate in the field of optical ground stations/ free space optical communications and we are looking to expand our customer base across the U.S. government, commercial, and defense markets. Cailabs patented MPLC technology passively mitigates atmospheric turbulence to enable ultra-high-speed satellite to earth communications -an exciting technology with unlimited potential. Cailabs currently employs over 90 people, including 25 PhDs. with 26 patent families registered. 

Essential skills

• Bachelors of Science in Mechanical, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering 
• At least 5 years of experience in electronic hardware development, ideally in a standardized, constrained and demanding environment such as aeronautics, defense, space, energy, medical, etc.
• Strong teamwork, and excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to work independently.
• Extensive hands-on experience with in analog electronics (CAD, schematic, routing, EMC, validation..)
