As a computer engineer within the Instrumentation and Electronics Unit, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of software intended for use in complex and innovative industrial environments.

 

With your technical expertise, you will contribute to the development of high-speed telecommunications from low-earth orbit satellites through the development of our range of optical ground stations (Tilba OGS).

 

Your main responsibilities include:

Developing and maintaining the software for space laser communication systems.
Specifying or overseeing the specification of the necessary software architecture for instrumentation equipment.
Leading the development of the database (Backend) as well as the user interface (Frontend) in the form of web pages.
Defining, designing, developing, and maintaining new measurement instruments and test benches.
Defining and ensuring compliance with software coding rules within the Electronics Unit.
Establishing and implementing continuous integration and deployment processes and tools (CI/CD).
You will manage projects from A to Z and interact with internal and external clients.

Essential skills

  • Graduated as engineer in computer science, software engineering, or a related field, with substantial experience in software development and testing in an industrial environment, particularly on special machines and test benches.
  • You have advanced programming skills, proficient in languages such as Python, C, C++, and are comfortable with Linux, Windows.
  • Technical affinity for systems integrating electronics is a real asset.
  • You have experience in project management and coordination, as well as in-depth knowledge of databases, and/or network architecture.
  • You enjoy working in a team, demonstrate precision, curiosity, and are comfortable in constantly evolving environments.
  • Fluency in French and English is required for this position.
