Internship description
The internship project aims to evaluate different driver solutions for stepper motors used in our products.
You will work within the Electronics and Software departments and will be supervised by a member of the Software team.
Your mission will consist of studying, testing and comparing several stepper motor controllers. To do this, you will set up experimental assemblies in order to evaluate and characterise the selected solutions.
The evaluation criteria will include accuracy, repeatability, ease of software and mechanical integration, and cost.
You will need to work independently to design a complete test bench: assembling the motor driver and developing a simple software application for control. At the end of the internship, you will carry out a detailed comparative study of the different solutions tested.
Main activities:
- Assess the existing motor driver solution
- Set up the various motor drivers to be tested
- Take measurements and evaluate performance
- Compare and summarise the results obtained
Profile required
Key point:
- Object-oriented programming (Python)
