Who are we ?

Fondée en 2013, Cailabs est le spécialiste mondial de la mise en forme des lasers, grâce en particulier à une technologie unique et brevetée (MPLC), issue de laboratoires scientifiques. Elle conçoit, fabrique et développe des solutions photoniques innovantes pour le spatial, l’industrie (usinage laser) les télécommunications et la défense.

Depuis 2020, Cailabs a vu sa croissance accélérer dans le domaine des stations-sol optiques, qui permettent de communiquer des satellites à la terre à l’aide de lasers, et a pris à présent une position centrale sur ce marché. Pan d’activité le plus important de Cailabs aujourd’hui, les stations-sol optiques TILBA-OGS de Cailabs incorporent le coeur technologique de Cailabs (MPLC) pour permettre des communications ultra haut débit en dépit de l’atmosphère.

Cailabs compte aujourd’hui plus de 90 collaborateurs, dont 25 PhD. Avec 26 familles de brevets déposées, l’entreprise fait partie des PMEs les plus innovantes de France.

Job description

Come be a difference maker as Vice President of Business Development in the US market for an exciting space communications technology company! Cailabs US Inc has recently opened a U.S. office and looking for the right person to be the Vice President of business development. 

 

Working closely with the President of Cailabs US Inc and in liaison with the product and sales teams, your role will be to design and deploy an optical ground station business development strategy in the US market aligned with the company's strategy and challenges. Experience in an international environment is desirable.

 

Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Drive sales, increase revenue and accomplish financial targets in the US optical ground station market. Propose and maintain a business development plan and strategy for the US market consistent with the overall business development company strategy.  
  • Lead key initiatives. Contribute to the overall business development plan of the company (worldwide).
  • Identify and use contacts and relationships within the industry, and business environment to understand, and respond accurately to requests for information. 
  • Develop proposals and contracts for new business opportunities and manage negotiations.
  • Maintain and manage a pipeline in a CRM.
  • Develop a wide network of contacts to keep informed about current and future industry and market actions.
  • Research and analyze the business environment, competitors, and customers to develop ideas for new services, pricing, and business models.
  • Collaborate effectively with product team, marketing & communication team, and other stakeholders to support business development plans.
  • Support the growth of Cailabs US Inc infrastructure.
  • Position Cailabs as a key player in the industry. 

Cailabs US Inc is located in the Washington DC metro area, but the VP of Business Development may be remote. U.S. domestic travel and occasional travel to Rennes, France headquarters is anticipated.

Essential skills
